1/8 mph-----------87.06
1/4 et-------------12.71
1/4 mph-----------99.4
I let out once in 3rd gear b/c the rear started coming around bad on me. Then I put the breaks on when I hit 4th b/c the rear felt like it was coming around even more and I felt like I was about to go straight into the wall.

I backed it up with 2 12.8s after that.

I started drifting towards the wall so I let out.

It feels damn good to finally hit the 12s. I was stuck at 13.08, 13.06, 13.02 on my last track trips.

Awesome, congrats!!

The 1/8-mi ET was 2 tenths quicker on the first run... no telling what that might have been.

Any idea why the car started to get loose on you? What tire and pressure are you running?

Im running 26x11.50x17 ET streets at 20psi. The wind was blowing kind of from behind and at an angle so I think when the car started swaying from the tires the wind helped the rear keep going but I could be wrong. It was my first pass of the night and the car felt really strong. My shifting was a little slow that run.

That's the famous ET Street wobble. It takes getting used to, that "floating" feeling at the top end...

Welcome to the club.

I have the ET street "radial" and I've never had the wobble, I suppose that's because it's not the bias ply type. Everytime people start talking about ET streets I get confused because there are a few different tires that everyone calls by the same name.

Great times.

Yep, "Street" is thrown around a lot. I use both in 17".

There are ET Streets (http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.php?item=ETStreet&sku=3743&size=26X11.50-17LT&type=SS)

and ET STreet Drag Radials (http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.php?item=ETStreetRadial&sku=3743R&size=P275/40R17&type=SS).

The Streets I use only at the track and never on the street, and the Street Drag Radial felt pretty comfortable on the street and did nearly as well as the Street with 60ft times--that was a mouthful. Streets don't have the stiff sidewall found in the Street Drag Radial, and thus sometimes exhibit wobble at high speed. Oddly enough, some folks don't experience it much or at all.

When available, FWIW, I love using MT ET Street Drag Radials in 295/45-17s. They are taller (27" vs 26") than the 275/40-17s and look nicer. Great all around tire and easy to drive off the street and onto the track. I just picked up a set and will retire the 275/40-17s for now.

Recently, I also picked up 15" Bogart light weight drag wheels and will be running two bias ply tires: ET Streets in 26x11.5-15 and skinnies in 26x4.5-15. I have been TOLD the wobble can be managed by having 45lbs of pressure in the skinnies. I hope to try this new tire/wheel combo in about a month once the damn weather in MD clears up a bit.

Hope that was clear--I got a bit longwinded there...

I run ET Drag slicks, and as long as my tire pressure is above about 11psi, I don't feel the wobble. I'm surprised it would happen at 20psi, especially on a shorter tire.
