Flat black S197`s?

Entertaining the idea of getting my car done in a matte black finish.

The paint is getting harder and harder to keep clean after washes and I dont have hours apon hours to detail the hell out of the thing. Its been something ive been thinking of doing for a while. I love the look of the flat color and think it would look pretty good on my car.

Are there any fellow s197 owners who have their car matte finish?

being able just to spray the car down and it look decently clean opposed to having insane amounts of water marks sounds nice..

I have thought about that, but it would cost a lot of money so I passed. I found a picture online thats in flat black - looks sick.

My car will be Matte in months to come I just need to get one project wrapped up...Before starting another...It won't be black though just to many flat black cars already

Holy big pictures batman!!!

Oddly enough, the ones with the biggest picture looks the best in my opinion (Flat black with white stripes and Bullits)

The only thing about running matte black is your exterior mods and wheel choices become somewhat limited in what looks good (ie, hood pins, Brake calipers)

I agree, the one with the white stripes looks the best. I think flat black looks amazing on mustangs

Well you would just have to wash with soap and water + sponge. It should be fine. This summer I'm putting some matte black pieces on my Bullitt to break up some of the solid black. I would like to do the Matte black in a couple years.

That's why I bought a silver car. Even when it's dirty, it looks clean. My truck is black......huge PIA to keep clean.

As bad as I wanted a black mustang I went with grey for exactly that reason

I went with Red cause my other vehicles had been black. I was done trying to keep black clean.

Matte black Mustang's are awesome looking cars! I've seen two in real life and let me tell you, they look so friggin mean! I might one day paint my 'Stang flat black. But that will be a few years down the road for me since Red is also very easy to take care of.

Ive had 4 black cars and 3 of those being Mustangs....such a pain to clean but still look amazing. The wrapped cars look badass IMO!
