I'll be getting some flat black done very soon and I'll post some pictures once it's completed. In the meantime, here's one with a flat black foil wrap that was in the service yard of the Ford dealership a couple of months back...

in all seriousness flat black imo looks kinda cheap on some cars and amazing on others, it sorta looks like primer on S197s thats just my .02

Entertaining the idea of getting my car done in a matte black finish.

The paint is getting harder and harder to keep clean after washes and I dont have hours apon hours to detail the hell out of the thing. Its been something ive been thinking of doing for a while. I love the look of the flat color and think it would look pretty good on my car.

Are there any fellow s197 owners who have their car matte finish?

being able just to spray the car down and it look decently clean opposed to having insane amounts of water marks sounds nice..

Don't do it! Lol.

Plus wouldn't a matte finish be harder to look after than a normal gloss black?

What the hell is wrong with you people? You wouldn't know a nice looking car if it ran you over. Granted, some of those pics are ricey, but the flat black is killer

I like the look but it would be hard for me to do plus I think it could kill the value of the car.

Right, you'll take a hit on resale. And on the subject, it will cost a ton
to have it painted, that's money you will have to work for. It'll be far cheaper and easier to just polish/wax the existing paint, and more satisfying, too.
