I went with 18s, mine will be exactly like entrenched's car except my car is black. I got piano black finish. From what i've been told I should be getting a tracking number within the next week.

I understood he had 20's on all 4. I was just saying I like the 19/20 set up. I think the 20's like too big in the front yet perfect in the rear.

It's all good. All are very nice cars and set ups. Splitting hairs.

Godzirra, I really hope you get those tracking numbers in the time frame you were told. From my experiences, every date they give me is complete B.S.

I'm 39 years old and have ordered 1000's of things online and this has been one of my worst buying experiences. There is no logic, ryhme or reason to how FS does business in my opinion. I think they have one oompa loompa in the factory or something, its crazy. I remember the words of one of the members of this forum who bought Forgestar...he said I will never buy from them again. I think he was so upset he even switched car brands to somehow rid the curse, lol.

Yea, they claimed I'd have a shipping number by the 8th week. So we'll see. But it was just last week they said it'd be another 4-6 weeks so i'm not sure how they got it down to them shipping them next week unless they have no idea what it going on which it seems that way. I think where they've become so popular they just can't keep up with demand.

The product ends up great but the wait time is due to many variables. It is my understanding that they don't even order the material until u order it from them. That shit takes 4 weeks to get there at least...then all the other bullshit. I said it before..I could have literally built a 4000 sq ft house in the time they made me wait for my wheels.

Well I guess you can be added to a list of disgruntled Forgestar customers. Just checked and the member who said it to me was "DusterRT"...to quote him:

DusterRT is addressing the fact that Pete at Forgestar told me the 18x10's weigh 18.9lbs but he used a certified scale to confirm they are actually 21lbs. In addition to this when I first asked Pete if 18x10's would work on my car on all 4 corners he simply replied yes in fact we just test fitted that them on a newer mustang and they fit perfectly. He never even mentioned that the front center caps won't work, I had to find that out later, from someone else.

PS- For the record, Duster sold the wheels, sold the mustang and bought a Porsche. Not that I condone that, lol

Just had a thought....does anyone know if these wheels are hubcentric and if we can use our OEM bolts?

I would hope they are hub-centric being they are machined specifically for our cars. I have black lugs coming with my order from Howey Industries. Just got my tires, Conti Extreme DW sizes 275/45R18 front and 285/40R18 rear. Now all i need is my wheels. Two and a half weeks so far.

Just a heads up on the wheels. They come with a plastic piece to center the wheels. Also invest in a set of splined lug nuts. I'm running the McGards because I couldn't get a thin wall socket on the rear lug nuts.

1.) How did those rings work for you? do you have any vibrations at high speeds?

2.) Did you use OEM Studs?

3.) In terms of lugnuts you're saying your stockers didn't work?

Hubcentric rings work fine as long as they are the right size. They may need to be replaced every now and then if you take your wheels on/off a lot. You can get them for like $5 at any wheel store like Discount Tire or America's Tires, sometimes they just give them to do. Same applies for stem caps if you ever lose them, they'll usually just give them to you.

OEM wheel studs work fine with just about any wheel you can put on.

You can't use factory lugnuts. You need 60-degree tapered lug nuts, also called "tuner" lugs. I recommend McGard splinedrives, they run about $90 a set and are excellent.

Link to the gorilla's with tapered seats? Is this all because the lug holes in these wheels are too small for our OEM lugs??

I tell ya, for "CUSTOM" made to order wheels I can't help but find it a little amusing that it requires hub rings and special lug nuts...I bet most people don't even know this when they order them.

The hub ring is weird to me since they say they make them custom to each application.

They should. The thread pitch and length look right. Maybe call forgestar and make sure they are tapered seats on the wheels? With all the weirdness going on there, I would call just in case they decided some crazy changes out of nowhere (like the weight thing).

Week 8 from order date has been completed. Says my wheels are at the finisher...Still says eta 3 weeks. But we'll see! I hope they get here sooner cause these bald pirelli's aren't gonna last much longer.

Peter from Forgestar just responded to me, I asked him about the hub ring size because i will probably want to replace the plastic ones they give you with metal ones, and also asked him if the lugs in the above link would work:

74.1 > 70.60 are our hubring sizes

You will need a conical seat and the lugs to not have larger than 17mm hex head and unfortunately those bolts will now work (Assuming he meant to type "not")

Geez, where the heck do you find lug nuts that WILL work!?

American Muscle can fix u up with Lug Nuts. I got my F14 from them and they didn't realize they needed special nuts. 1 phone call and they took care of it. You can also source them thru Summit Racing.

My 1 comment would be if you need special lug nuts they should be supplied with the Wheels.

Thanks for the info...but were the lug nuts you got just a no name cheap brand? I really wanted to get some quality ones like McGard but I emailed them stating what Peter @ Forgestar said about how they can't be larger then a 17mm hex and this was McGards response:

"The absolute smallest hex diameter that we have to offer for this vehicle is ¾” with a bulge cone-seating surface. This is roughly equal to 19.1mm"
