275 or 285, assuming a 35 or 40 sidewall, are perfect for a 10" wheel to fit as the manufacturer intended, and to make the tire work right. Sure you can stuff your 305 on there, but you won't gain anything other than being able to say "I have 305's" at your Friday night meet.

I ended up getting squared 275/35/20 with 20x8.5 all around.

Just couldn't pass up the deal.
