Strangely enough - I used to have this issues early on. Then, it stopped giving me problems. The car is 20 yrs old now, and it used to happen in yrs 1-3....then nothing. Did I do anything different? Nope

Very strange. I would have suspected it when it was after 3 year old.

As a matter of fact, it was then and to this day, that I began tracking how much gas I used so I knew how much I had to pump back in when I stopped for refueling. In other words, everytime I fill the tank, I zero out the fuel consumption gauge before I leave the station so that I know how much gas I need to pump back in next time....

And you fill sometimes 3/4-> 1/1 or 1/2->1/1 ? That would not work on my 2007. 0->1/1 works all the time

Many times I fill from almost E to F. Most of the times is 1/4 to F.

Well, not above 1/2 full, but sligtly below 1/2 full...not at 1/4.

At this point, I had used 8.5 gals. Went to gas station, and the pump automatically stopped at 8.3 gals which is pretty darn good. No issues using the "hands free" feature of the nozzle. By hands free I mean the feature that locks the handle in place while fueling... :)
