Fuse size for amps?

Howdy fellas,

I have a kicker 200.4 that requires a 20A fuse amd a 500.1 that requires a 60A fuse. My plan is to run a 4 guage wire to a fuse, then run that to a distributor that splits into two 8 guage wires. What fuse size would I need?

Also, an alternative is run the distributor first, then give each amp their own fuse, but I would prefer to not do it this way on account of it being uglier.

Cool, thanks. 8 Guage is still good for post-distribution block? What's the general rule of thumb for wire sizing?

8 gauge will for what you are doing. Same thing i did in my truck.

Inches from the battery. The reason for that is that in case of an issue the fuse blows and not much wire to burn, less chance of an electrical fire.
