Garage Door Opens By Itself

So I have a weird issue. My mother has a 2013 Mustang GT. Whenever she starts the car and backs it out of the garage, the door next to it opens (or closes, depends if its open or closed) and then it stops. It goes up or down for around 2 seconds. This means that the car is sending out a signal that is activating, then de-activating the door 2 seconds apart. I'm not sure what would be causing this, any ideas? It only seems to happen when she is backing out and when she first starts the car.

A trolling neighbor?
Couldn't imagine any radio signals the car would put out to do this.

No neighbors close enough to troll. We have a 3 car garage and the one it opens is the only automatic one.

I don't believe she has the garage door opener. Even if she did, it was never set up for that garage door.

Odd. Mine did this a couple of times two weeks ago. I checked all the openers to make sure there was nothing accidentally pressing the buttons and to see if the buttons were stuck. I couldn't find anything. It did it a couple of times over three days, and then just stopped. I started locking the manual lock just because I assume that someone has figured out the code, and is messing with me

Possibly the same RF as the tmps sensors when the car looks for them at start?

How old is your garage door opener? Basically does it have a rolling code or does it have a fixed frequency? That very well could be the problem.

Well today it did it when she walked out of the garage with the keys/fob in her hand. Its an older garage door opener
The kind where you can set it manually with the up/down switches where there are like 10 of them.

Just walking out with the fob in her hand?
Tha fuck?
Does she have a metal plate in her head with metal fillings?
I'd try resetting the opener to another setting

On top of the garage door motor/opener there is a red button. Hold the button down for 10 seconds and it will lose all previously synced remotes, etc.

Its not a sync one like it. Its the one you manually have to set the frequency for. Maybe ill just change the frequency for it and see what happens.

I don't even know where the actual opener is lol. The house is fairly secluded so I'm not too worried about that, just don't want it to close on my head lol
