I just got an 8 hour quote from two different dealerships here (Omaha). Ouch.

i know a few good performance places down here in south FL, and when i got mine done on my old 97, i did leave the car there for the day, but it was a $300 install.

I'm feeling kind of bad for some of you paying more than a couple of hundred bucks for gear installs so...

If anyone is interested,
I know a Ford trans tech who's been doing them in Houston, TX for years. I've recommended a few guys over the years from a local Mustang club. I've had 2 Stangs done by him and a brother in law's Stang. No issues to speak of! He charges $100 plus any shims/seals that may be needed. Fluids are FREE. I've never paid more than $125 drive out. He does other stuff like exhaust, trans work, suspension, etc... PM me if interested in his info.
