I wont lie, I was really wondering what I had bitten off once I hit the second round on the 1500 wet sand!

Looking good. I can't wait to see what it does at the track.

Me too!

And as for the wet sand.... bring a lunch,and dinner twice, this no small job. I would have rather went to the track, burnt a piston and had to pull the motor! At least that I am familiar with and know what to do! LOL

It will be easier to just have my brother repaint my car. Lol

I need a friend like that . Had a guy I hooked up on wheels and tires for his shop and he fucked me kept getting deal and said he would paint the side of my car for free... He said I'll call you...that was a year ago

This a new paint job to this car with a lot more metal flake and a good bit of pearl. If I get a chance in the sunlight to show of the pearl vrs the fac. door jambs , I will. My buddy painted it over a year and a half ago and its been in the garage since. The factory Redfire paint doesn't even compete.

Don't know yet. I do know the regulator never made up for the boost on the last pull. The WG didnt open either. I hit 19 psi with about 16 psi FP IIRC. Something happened and the regulator never made up for the boost. These road pulls leave very limited time for watching the gauges at these levels. I am on my way to get it back together though. I will not be able to do back to back results on the Comp 127550 cams vrs my custom grinds though, since I am installing them now with the new springs. I have to have a new #8 sleeve and piston, along with new rings and bearings since the metal got to the bearings. I have some diagnosis to do on the fuel system to see what actually caused this though.

Let me stress that this is NOT a tuning issue. I was dataloging when it happened. The fuel system never made up for the boost on the pull. This is a mech. failure of some sort. I just need to figure out what it was before I proceed.

Glad to hear you putting it back together. Good luck on getting her up and running again.

Thats a given . I can pull the motor and have it torn down in about 6-8 hrs by myself in my garage at this point. The work is done! The motor is easy work . LOL
