I still think it has to be a leak somewhere, lines or even the regulator membrane itself, what makes me think that way is how it occurred when boost raised rapidly, after transmission shifted and raise rate was lower everything went back to normal and fuel pressure was back there.

Either way, redesigning the layout will only help.

I am going to inspect the entire vac setup and all vac controlled diaphragms this weekend. I will take the WG and regulator apart and inspect the diaphragms and all.

i didnt take any pics of mine....

i bought a manifold and put it in the driver side fender, then all my vac lines run to the manifold. only issue i had with that was finding a hose that would not colapse under vacuum.....i ended up putting a piece of copper tubing inside from one end to the other...

Yea the braided line was a thought but I wanted to go small and flexible for easy and fast concealment. I thought about doing a vacuum manifold under the intake but I worked it out.... Not near as clean as your engine bay though lol

What size vac lines do you guys use?

I haven't read back but I see that you guys are asking about vac line. I have used a 5/16 fuel line for all of my vac lines on my car(bov, wg, etc.). It is much heavier than standard vac line and I wouldn't think would have any chance of collapsing under vac. Also, it holds pretty damn tight on the barb fittings. I am saying 5/16 but it may be 1/4 as I can't remember for sure right now.

I made a manifold with a 3/8 line for main vaccuum from the manifold to the intake manifold. 3/8 to the brake booster and 1/4 to everything else.

I used 1/8 abs plastic airline that we use for 18wheelers. More common is 1/4 inch, but my boost gauge came with 1/8 plastic line and I had some laying around I used it. I don't think the size matters as pressure is pressure. Should be enough to operate what we are trying to do.

I wanted to inspect the bronze guides to see if I wanted to go back to steel or not after the failures I have been reading about with the bronze guides. I will know more on that tomorrow.

Billy, anything new on the above topic ?

My machine shop said the bronze guides looked fine. They installed the new Comp 26125-24 springs and new seals, checked all the valves ect. and cleaned them up. They are good to go for the Comp 127550 cams now.

I also received the new piston finally today and sent it to get coated. Polydn said they can have the piston and the bearings coated and back out on Friday. I should have them Sat. and be able to put the motor back together this weekend, degree the cams, and drop it back in. Then the next weekend connect everything and fire it up again.

This is the issue that we are looking into, while in fast RPM raise, regulator lost fuel control and did not compensate, once it shifted it recovered control.

This is a quick rebuild. I'd hate to have your bills for all this. Lol

There are things one does not discuss...

Really though when you do it yourself fixing an issue like this can be done without a lot of cash. Just a lot of labor.

Bobby how are you logging boost

Its Billy, and the boost is logged with a MAP sensor I bought on ebay and wired into the analog 2 on the SCT. and the analog 1 is the A/F.

Getting ahead of yourself Ryan, we still can't even get Analog 1 to work on our damn A/F gauges:roflmao:

I don't know why would you want to go back from having COPs, and don't know how to develop a single advance control signal to EDIS out of the current PCM.

If you are worried about igniting dense concentrations of E85 as your project would need to handle I think TurboPete is already doing that with stock COPs, a wire upgrade and a BAS and have no issues so far.
