Just chuck some 127550's in that bitch and run it!

not ideal for this setup and what I want it to do. I love the car just at wits end with shops, vendors and manufactures. The scale is tipping the wrong way to often. Fun meter fucked and patience worn thin. now mother fucking mother nature and work are serious issues in finishing this Damn thing. Parts are worth way more New also. Going to be a rough night sleep, decisions will be made. Think this may be the last fucking straw.

When my son yells at his games and gets pissed i always ask them why do you play? What fun is it off you are always mad at it? Now I am looking in the mirror

At least I did not run it this way. I have put so much time, money and energy to get this thing running and tuned this weekend I now feel like a fool

If it was easy everyone would do it.......or just cut big checks to have someone else do it. Sometimes you have to step away for a while. I went into "I don't give a shit" mode with my 07' for about a year. It was a nice break. Now I'm all fired up again to work on it.

I've made the mistake of saying fuck it and selling stuff in the past. I have always ended up regretting it.

I have to agree with the others, step away and take a break for a bit. This thing is going to be way too awesome to stop now!

I'm gonna join in with the crowd and say step away. I'm going through that right now. After a year of dealing with issue after issue with the supercharger my engine now needs to be rebuilt. So the car is in the garage under a cover while I take some time off.

Thanks everyone. Just a quick meltdown there lol.

need to give major credit to Michael at L&M engines. He was the poor guy caught in the middle of the cam disaster (not his fault). I am glad he measured them out and discovered the problem. He kept on top of comp and we were able to get them to grind new cams and next day air them yesterday. I do give comp credit for owning the error and quickly making it right. Comp is sending the cams to Michael and he will measure them out to verify they are to spec then next day them to me.

With any luck I will have the car going this weekend.

awesome!! thats pretty good customer service.....well besides fucking em up in the first place, lol

L&M didn't fuck them up. L&M had them ground for Jim by Comp. Comp screwed them up. A simple mistake really. And they fixed it as fast as something like that could be possibly fixed.

A lot can be said about a company based on how they handle problems. L&M/Comp made this right lightning fast. Everyone makes mistakes.

I'm continually impressed with how comp manages to fuck up and somehow make acceptable concessions.

Can't be great for profits.

Crown lemme know when you get those tools so I know they made it to you, and good luck buddy!

Yeah, they fucked up. Shit happens. I don't think there is anyone on this board that can claim they have never made a mistake. I know I can't.:roflmao:

Yes, making a mistake is not the problem and normally :) am very accepting of them in the end lol. How a company will handle it is what really matters to me. In this case comp certainly went above and beyond to correct it. The way they handle it makes up for the mistake imo.

That's pretty awesome imo. They dedicated a machine to doing your cams and got them out fast.

When is the startup?

Michael stopped what he was doing to measure them today. He stayed late to deliver them to ups. I will have them in the morning so hope to start the car Sunday. Big hats off to those guys.

The manifold..
The shop that is polishing the manifold does excellent work but always late. I was supposed to have it back last Friday. Then Monday, then Wednesday, now maybe Monday.

I will just pick it up if it comes down down to that. I have had to pick up two manifolds from them now as they can't get it together or come close to meeting their delivery schedule

Got cams. Degreed and done. Wanted to mention (again) how much I loath that freedom contraption of a tool. Two followers left to go and bastard tool slips off and naturally a retainer lock goes flying off.

So... not taking the Damn head off no way. 60 psi was enough to hold the valve shut so I could compress the retainer and put the Damn lock back on.

Anyway, cams are done. Had to advance the left cam 2° and the right cam 4° but was able to get them to 112.5/112 as recommend by l&m (trying to move away from the useless low end torque.

Nice cams tho..

I really hate that tool.

Honestly I just ended up removing the cam to get the followers out. Not exactly the "right" way but whatever.

I actually prefer it for followers install, it stays in place, removing locks is another story and the freedom does the job.

I've used both and prefer the FR tool. The Rotunda is what's in my tool box. It's not too bad with a few hardware store modifications but once I get a rhythm going with the FR it works pretty well in comparison.

I'd agree that just changing followers is fairly quick with the Rotunda tool.

The best way is to do it on a bench.
