That's a bummer, it may be the case that my cat is actually setting the code and would have been "fixed" by replacing the cat, but with 50K miles of non-winter highway driving, I was a bit surprised and disappointed, and I was also just outside of the 10yr/100K mile emissions warranty (which I skeptically doubted would have been honored or "free" to remedy, but I admittedly didn't/couldn't try to find out). The car ran fine, MPG was the same, but I'm glad I could "tune" the nuisance away.
