Well we had a couple drop out on our street cruise also. And I will probably never bother to run it again either. I should have ran Ultra Stang instead.

Sheyetfahr! Our very own SD Wheeler won Ultra Stang by the way!

Also, that hot rod lincoln that nipped me at the line by 0.0321 sec won the true street competition on Sunday. That is a good street car and cool as hell too. I can just see the faces of folks with hot out of the box mustangs getting their asses handed to them by that Lincoln! I bet he has surprised the dog shit out of a few people!

As for true street, the only way they will fix that one is to have a state inspector inspect the cars right then and there with a fine toothed comb and declare them either legal or illegal. Anything vintage 1975 or higher must have catalytic converters and be running unleaded fuel. Otherwise it ain't street legal. JMHO and :2cents:.

I wouldn't get your hopes up... FFW isn't the only organization that has a crazy set of rules for a street car class. At least they make them do a 30-mi drive... some don't even do that.

The best I have seen at really finding the fastest street cars is the Drag Week put on by Hot Rod magazine. Basically, it involves racing at 5 different tracks in 5 days separated by several hundred miles each. The cars must be driven there on their own, with no support vehicles at all. Everything they use must be carried in the car (tires, tools, fuel, etc). And believe it or not, there are 8 and 9 sec cars that can do it.

Pretty cool event, IMO. :thumb:

This is an Event I am going to Race in, I was going to choose True Street or All Motor Street but after reading this thread I am going to stick to the Street ET...Bracket Racing
