How To Tell If Your Drag Radials Need Replacing

I currently have a set of BFG DRs 265/40/18 on my Vert. They've seen about 3000 street miles and maybe 40 track passes. The center of the tire is about bald but the edges still have maybe 2/32 of tread.

I'm unsure of how long I can continue to run them and I'm looking from some guidance.

Change them now? I only take the car out if its good weather. I was thinking after the rental on the 20th I'd replace them.

Thats what I do. When my 60' times start increasing consistently I know its time for new ones.

you can run them, ti'll they are full slicks.

trust me, ive done more than a few sets of them.

run them ti'll the wires show.
