....since the new 6 speed in the 2011 GT will bolt up to our blocks i wonder what, if any benefit, there would be to using the new one and going from a 4.10 to a 3.55 or so?

better MPG on high way would be my first thought. However depending on what one traps in the 1/4 you may lose some ET and 60'
i read in 5.0 mag that the bellhousing patterns for the 4.6 and the new 5.0 are the same, so minus a few other things (driveshaft lenght, tranny mount, etc) i assume the swap would be fairly straight forward.Has it been confirmed that the new tranny will fit right up to our cars? Would this be chesper then doing a 6060 swap?
Sorry if this has been discussed before, i'm at work and have limited access to the boards right now.
