Since yesterday was the first time that I have ever done a header install on my v6 it was a pain in the ass, not so much of a pain in the ass getting them in or out just all the little minor details with the headers. So i got the bbk shorty headers and I go to put the driver side on and as i get every bolt on and tighten I notice that the back isnt going flush with the motor. So i look and the bracket that hold the ignition coil is in the way and the big ass bolt with it. So i had to take everyyyy bolt back out and take that one out just to make that side fit. THEN I did the passenger side and that took no time to do, which always seems to go wrong when you get one side on faster than the other, as i get everything tighten again, There is another bolt/bracket in the FUCKING WAY! I was like wtf? I think bbk would know that all this stuff was in the way prior to making these headers. So i either have to grind those bolts down for them to fit or just not put them back in. Does anybody that has v6 have these headers and had this problem? Sry for the long post i guess im just venting i wasnt even excited about having them on after i was done lmao. SO i was just wondering if anybody else had that problem too.

I'm confused...I had JBA headers and I made the same mistake the first time around that you made. I forgot about the coil bracket and it was under the driver's side header. I made the crucial mistake of driving with it like that and ended up warping the header. To fix the warped header I had to take it back out and shave some of it off until it fit flush. Other than the Coil Pack, their was nothing in the way.

Are you talking about the EGR tube? That is the metal tube that connects to the throttle body from the header.

You don't need to tighten it all the way. I hand tightened the EGR tube b/c its a pain in the ass to get of. About the a/c bracket (I forgot about that), just put it on the outside of the header.
