Was on the dyno this morning at Pro-Dyno in Fort Mill, SC, they've been tuning my car for 3 years now. Had my current setup retuned and made these numbers on 93 octane @ 20psi (66 degrees, 27% humidity). I don't see the point in switching to a Mammoth, so my 2.6H is no longer for sale.

Shit, I'm having an outpatient procedure on Friday and probably won't be in any shape to party this weekend. Someday we'll meet up Ron! Tell Peter the new idlers are working out fine.

Higher timing doesent necessarily mean more HP. if your tuner locked it in at 17° then this may be optimum for your engine/Power adder combo. I know on my stock motor with the KB at 10psi my tuner locked it in at 18°

Oh im not on the stock motor, but i understand what your saying. The reason why i was asking is because my car was still making more power each degree of timing it went up, but he wouldnt put it past 17 degrees timing on 93 octane.. he claimed it was too dangerous. Thats kind of why i was curious if he didnt know what he was talking about now. This was during the summer at 98 degrees outside, but still im curious now..

environmental factors play a role in tuning the car for sure. If you even question the tuners intellect or ability to tune the car then you need a new tuner and maybe shouldnt have gone to him in the first place. When it came tiem to tune my car the first time i basically interviewed the tuners and settled on John Lund. When it came time for the new motor to be tuned i was recommended to dan @ Pro Dyno and i did my research on him as well. Only then did i select a tuner to tune my motor.

Very true, thanks man. Im here in houston so i may try taking it to strictly and having them tune it since i have good things about them on this board.
