I did the search. got myself this far, and I am no PHD degree holding electrician but what's going on here? I tried all the switch on fuse slots in the SJB. I double checked all my wire to wire connections.

Is this coming from a 10a slot, not the empty slot in between the 5a? I think the 10a and 5a are hot all the time slots.

I'd clear any paint on ground points too.

not 100% if it would be it. But the Add-a-fuses I put in, I have them facing the opposite way

I'm happy I am not the only one that went through this situation. I had to flip mine as well. Guess it didn't make good contact.

Does it power up when you wire it up direct? If not, it's your grounds or a bad gauge.

I would only use the fuse box for a signal... The gauge should be wired with a relay and getting its 12V source directly from the battery.

Do you get an error code that flashes quickly during the heat up cycle?
