Did you get the parts or did the shop who did your build get the parts? If they got them, then you should talk to them about this. It's one thing to have something fail randomly, it's another to install the wrong part altogether.

basically we reused my old timing cover from the grenaded block. The whole issue was that the block was from a production run in 03-04 a 2v block i didnt know thisi though it was gonna be a production 05 + block

yea apparently the block that was usd for the build was from 03-04 and that was causing the whole damn issue well there goes 800 bucks for a bullshit fix that should of been caught during the build grrrrrrrrrrr

i'll get pics when i go to the shop tomorrow

You have me a little worried, because I bought an 05+ production block for my build, don't know the year it was made, and I reused my 2007 timing coverse. I'd like to know if there was a timing cover change between 2005 and 2007.

yes there is a timing change cover change the firts versions were made from begining of the 05 till dec 06 then the revision is from dec 06 till present
