Several days ago went to town in my 2008 Mustang GT/CS, fan and air conditioning running fine. Came out of store and driving home noticed no fan or air. Took to mechanic and test showed fan and air conditioning fine. Something wrong in the wiring.

Got it in for repair and they found the harness plug into the fuse box loose. Cleaned and replaced, ran the car for an hour and each time they checked the car the air condition was working.

Drove the car home and the fan stopped twice, each time about five seconds. Next day went to town and it did it once.

So didn't take the car to Seattle as planned due to heat and uncertainty of the air-conditioning being available.

It's like there is a short or acts like it over heats and shuts off.

Any ideas?

Radiator fan or cabin fan?
The radiator fan circuits have been known to melt, you have to take the BEC apart to see if the wires turned black.
Cabin fan stopping, I would pull the SJB (right kick panel) and check for water intrusion. (Another semi-common issue) If there is corrosion in the SJB, check the cowl drain. Those clog.
