If a reputable shop does the work, you will have completely fixed car that drives normal. You might be the only one who can tell it was repaired.

I agree with this. I dare anyone to try to tell where mine was hit.

Ok, first estimate came in at 6700.00. I was told this was without putting it on a frame machine and not assessing the front bumper/grill damage from when I was pushed into the car in front of me. I found out about 8500.00 will total the car, I got a feeling this was a low a lowball quote to get the work and then the real cost would come through and the cost will just keep going up. I'm gonna send it somewhere else for another estimate to really see what's up. Any thoughts on if 6700 seems legit or does it seem kind of low. I don't want to end up driving a car that was or should have been totaled. A lot of the estimate said remove and inspect, not R&R

I wouldn't take that quote.. I would want a FULL quote.. not one leaving out the bolded part... thats kind of shady if you ask me.

Ah guess it makes more sense with the username haha. I live over in Covington. Grandmother lives in lake Charles. I'm in Baton Rouge almost every weekend there is a home game.

The car was totaled out. I have since found a super clean, low mileage, totally stock 07 GT that I'm currently purchasing all the mods for. Then come spring time will put them all on the car....hopefully!

i just hit a deer with my 2013 focus...damage is not horrible...personally i wish it was totalled (it probably isnt) but i will find out today. IF it was totalled i would go get a 2014 and call it a day. But since its a 2013 and its hood, and bumber both fenders need a touch up and some plastic pieces im going to say its fine ... i just wish i got a new car since i already have 17k on my focus!

Yeah, it really sucked in the beginning because the first shop seemed to quote the job just to get the work, then the real cost was going to come in and I would end have ended up driving a car that should have been totaled. I then found a GREAT shop that really understood what it would take to get the car back to they way it was and quoted the work correctly. I was able to remove alot of the mods I already had on the car before they towed it away, so i'm starting this car a little bit ahead. In the end it all worked out great, it certainly wasn't the smoothest process because insurance company's always wants to do it the fastest and cheapest way possible.

My brother hit a deer too in his 2013 ST and it destroyed both headlamps, hood, fender, cracked front support, and ecu box. Total damage was 13K (each of those fucking HID headlamps was 2K) They ended up not totalling it. Car drives good as new after the damage. Those little cars are tanks.

OP, glad you found a new ride you are happy with.

My bumper and hood and grill and plastics behind it are toast - driver fender is damaged and headlight is in pieces a few extra dents in the door and passenger fender from the hood pushing back, doesn't look like much internal damage - they aren't HID lights tho thank god - waiting to hear back on the estimate today

The 07 GT is the first non black car I've ever owned!! I miss the black but don't miss cleaning it right after I just got done cleaning it. I ended up going with satin silver and really like it!!
