In the previous generation, the 4.0's can produce (with forced induction) about the same power to slightly more power with stock block than the 4.6 because they can hold more boost. Since the 3.7 is similar to a lot of factory turbo'd setups I am sure it has a lot of potential.

I believe it's "Real", but I have no clue as to why he would spend that kind of money.... Maybe, it's a R&D project to make kits to sell then he might get his money back plus some......

if im correct the guy road races the car not drag races, i was there when they were insalling all the braided fuel lines... one reason the price is so much is because true street will literally bend you over on costs

60k = Loaded GT500
The GT500's a couple hundred pounds than a V6. If both the V6 and GT500 had 550 HP at the wheels...it'd be an interesting race for sure. Of course, with the V6 you're maxed out at 550, while you can go way higher with the 5.4.

That being said, it's either a ticking time bomb or it's going to let go when they try to add more.

I never caught on to why some choose to boost a V6. If you have that kind of cash to spend on all the mods, why not just buy the GT? Just doesnt add up to me.
This is just my take on it...say you can't afford a GT and the associated costs (insurance, decreased fuel mileage, etc). You buy a V6. Five or six years down the road, you're better off but you either want to keep your current car because it's paid off, you're attached to it, or you don't want the hit you're going to take on trading in/selling to upgrade to a GT. You've still got a couple grand to spare, and if you can make your car much quicker (and possibly able to beat stock/lightly modded 05-09 GTs), why wouldn't you do it?

Really??? Call around about prices and let me know how that works for you.. I'd rather know it was done right rather then be incomplete... Last I heard your car was doing great after they spent time fixing many things that was not done right on your car...

I find it funny that your Sig says bbr tuned your car when that is incorrect..

But, if your spending a lot of money on modding a V6, then the insurance and saving gas money makes no sense.

My car is doing great that is why it is in pieces, I never said that didnt do a good job, but they are more expensive than other shops, at wot my car is amazing but driveabikity isn't the best for all the money i spent my car should be a lot more driveable and i paid for a new belt to be installed and they put an old one in that caused a lot of damage when it broke... their quality of work is there but they need to concentrate more on the customer I have a 5000 dollar paint job and while they were working on it they let oil get all over my new paint .. they are a fairly new shop I respect them and they do good worl but they need to fix a few minor issues. And as far as issues that were wrong with the car they were minor the maf was upside down which I corrected in their shop and there needed to be a line ran from passenger side cylinder head to the filter, and the vacuum line was not ran which was why the car wasent making power clint and i put our heads together and figured out that was the problem, and finally there was a voltage problem that the tuner figured out, and after all the little issues were resolved the carn finally made very good power... As a matter of fact I have a new Dyno tune scheduled for Wednesday and im expecting to make more power than previously..

i think you mistook my earlier statement about their prices as me being an ass hole. I was simply saying they are EXPENSIVE.

as for my sig iv not changed any of the info besides where i added the hp numbers, and if im correct the tune that is in the car is a modified BBR tune file, unless "TIM" i believe thats his name started over from scratch

Wow, bunch of haters in here. Y'all sound like the Camaro guys now, hating on it just because it is a smaller engine.(though I do think it is crazy if he has that much $$$ in it!) IMO, is very believable. Like Marc stated, the 3.7 has easily made 450rwhp at 8 lbs on pump gas. Whether we like it or not, this IS the future of the Mustang. CAFE will see to that.

And Steedman, not everyone builds their car to run at the strip.

The 3.7 has a forged crank and forged rods from the factory.

Not all "forged" parts are equal. Cracked powder forged rods are not equal to say Manley H-beam forged rods.

Often Ford has referred to cracked powder forged rods as "forged" in advertising material, but they are not as strong as conventionally forged rods, but they are certainly cheaper.

The Terminators got true H-beam forged rods, that can handle 700+ whp. The GT500 got powder forged, as they cannot handle the same power..

I do alot of my own work but college was starting and that on top of a job and preparing for a new born didnt give me much free time, so i let them finish up the loose ends that i didnt have time to do, as well as the tuning..

Very true. However they appear to be the same tech as the 5.0. If the 5.0 can handle 600+ hp , I suspect the 3.7 will be just fine.
