ohh boy.. I have been using my spec 2+ for years with no issues. As I have told others here when you buy spec you want to get something around your TQ range. thats why they have the ratings showing. A 700rwtq GT500 will need a different clutch then a 320 GT will.

Even the 2+ for me is a pain at times in traffic. Its gabs and goes

My centerforce DFX has held up for over 50k miles of blower power lol. I will probably go with this clutch again if I ever have to replace it

Agreed, but the car is getting supercharged next month, and I wanted it in and past break-in before the blower was on. :boobies:

spec 3+ =Torque Rating: 850 ft./lbs.

unless your planing on running 20+psi, it might be a little much.

I'm just saying to people that you might get a more user friendly clutch to handle your tq. I have seen many threads of people bashing Spec and almost all of them over did it on the version they bought.

I'm not bashing it at all. I actually really like it so far - I was simply stating that as of right now, in the break in period, it was still "grabby".

Also, I race my car, so I want something that can handle plenty of abuse. The SC kit I'm using should put me at over 500lbs of torque, and the Spec 2 is rated at 520lbs. I didn't want a clutch that was at the limit of its capacity so I went up one level to the 3+. Pretty simple.

I found my Spec 2+ started dragging after a few hundred miles. I had to shim the slave cylinder out .125" now it works perfect.
