Issue with Comp Cams 5449 phase limiters

I am installing a set of 127020 Mutha Thumprs on a 2009 Mustang GT with the phaser limiters. The phasers are different than other 05+ cars I have worked on and the tool Comp provides will not work. I called Comp and they said there was a phaser change somewhere in 2009 and they confirmed the tools they provide in their 05-10 kit will not work on the 09 and up phasers. Anyone have any advice on how to install these phaser limiters without using Comps tool?
