These are stainless JBA Cat 4ward short headers. They fit 3 valve motors. Even though they are stainless you can see some patina in areas I couldn't rub down.

I bought them new about 16 months ago. They work and fit great. No leaks.

$275 shipped.

What kind of benefits would these provide over stock manifolds? Any power gains or heat reduction at all? I've heard shorties are pretty much good for looks is all, but I'm unwilling to put full headers on my car at this point because they are a PITA to work around.

Sorry but I don't know. Magazines and other internet dwellers have gained torque with them. It's mostly under the curve. These are different than the frpp shorties I had previously. I think the longer tubes vs most other shorty headers help with torque but I don't have any before dynos. I made 336/336 with these and stock cats on 92 pump gas and ported heads with 127400 cams. I think my tuning was holding the motor back at the time.

These don't do much for heat. They don't increase it but I really don't think they decrease it either. The frpp headers were ceramic coated and it made a difference that you could feel. They would still get hot to the touch but wouldn't radiate much heat. The stock manifolds have a lot of surface area to dissipate heat into the engine bay.

I'm going to Mac mid length headers. I'm fairly certain they won't be in the way too much and the first hand reports are very good with them power wise.

I don't think you would see much difference unless they were ceramic coated.

I think they are priced right for someone who want's to test differences between these and stock or unequal length shorty headers. They will work the same as new but don't cost the same.
