JLT is very happy to announce the release of our all new cold air intake for the 2005-10 Mustang GT 4.6.

Though our JLT Series 2 has been a huge success and on more cars than we ever imagined, we have pushed the envelope and did a complete redesign from top to bottom and now have the JLT Series 3 CAI.

It’s tube is rotationally molded ABS plastic with built in 110mm MAF, comes with a huge 4.5X9” S&B powerstack air filter, redesigned heat shield with hood seal and all needed hardware. The tube is smooth as glass inside and molded to fit N/A Mustang GT’s and 4.6 engines with Saleen blowers.

Also good for you Saleen blower guys, no more using the old 90mm MAF's from the pre 04 cars. The 05-up sensor is so much better for tuning!

Why change something that works?
Well, as we have been growing and learning we find new and better ways to do things. Something we learned when developing the 2011 5.0 kit was that integrating the MAF into the tube helps smooth out air flow. Not having steps, couplers or reducers can greatly improve flow. Also, one thing that bothered us about the Series 2 was that it didn’t fit with the Saleen Blower because it hit the alternator.

So when we started the new design, we started on a S281 Saleen SC. If it fit this, it will fit all other N/A Mustangs.

The new Series 3 will be released to dealers and customers early to mid August 2011 and will be available in black textured plastic and soon to follow exact body color.

Even with this being a complete redesign and improvement price is still one of the lowest on the market.

So keep an eye on our web site for the release or you can call and get on the pre order list, plus very soon your favorite vendor will have then ready to ship.
Check out some of the testing we did just last week.

2005 Saleen

The 05 has stock injectors and with just the intake it ran out of fuel. We tuned around it, but it was still going lean up top. So with the additional fuel it could have picked up even more and be safe. This car is coming back with a BAP, injectors and a smaller pulley.

Stock was under 4 PSI and after the JLT Series 3 it was 5+ PSI.

Have you tested on a bone stock car? Results? Unless I'm to assume the 2 vs 3 was test was a stock car...

Nice work!

I like how at 3k they are dead on. Then the series 3 just walks away from the series 2.

I would guess with those numbers that the test was on a stock car.

Yes, the tune was adjusted for the size of the MAF.

Actually the A/F was about 13's with the Series 2 and a bit richer with the 3 due to not having enough time to nit pick the tune. We could have made even more.

Thanks

Considering the Steeda is 90mm and our Series 2 is 89, I'd say the gains would be close to what we gained over the JLT 2

Why they use an old style MAF I'll never understand. The new 05-up sensors are so much better for tuning.
That's only 90mm with a much smaller filter.

Our kit has a 110mm integrated MAF (no couplers or separate unit) and a 4.5X9" filter.
