We scored the first set of Kooks 1 3/4" Stainless Headers and their Hi Flow Catted 3" X pipe. The install went smoothly and we had great results. The lowest line on the graph was our intial dyno pulls when the car was stock, it netted 350 rwhp. With a Diablosport standard tune and K&N drop in filter our car made 379 rwhp ( 2nd line ). Same day we installed the Kooks 1 3/4" Long tubes and 3" Catted x pipe and with the STOCK Cat back the car responded great with a final power output of 404 rwhp, a solid 25 rwhp gain same day thru the factory cat back. Also it's right around 20lbs of torque increase. These were all 5th GEAR Pulls. We will be testing the Kooks Cat back very soon also, when I have the results I'll post them up with video. We have them for sale on our site. Also we went with the 1 3/4's for now, we went 8.40's in the 05 with 1 3/4" headers.

Niuce gains...

I'd be interested on how the car sounds now. Any major differences in the sound/volume?

very nice gains! I have been wondering when someone was going to dyno a 1 3/4" header. I am just not sold on the 1 7/8" for these motors. I don't think they need a primary that big.

Was there any tune adjustment after the exhaust install?

No tune changes were made. Back to back same tune. I agree on the smaller tube.

Sounds bout right. The stainless works picked up 23 rwhp on a tuned car. So that 20-25 rwhp seems to be about right where most are.

I think the cars are gonna benefit more once they are boosted as well or nitrous compared to just a bolt on car as well.

I picked up a tenth in worse air last night with the same tune on the car at the same track in worse air. Bout .15 corrected, seems right on for a car of this weight.

All we were supplied with was the catted x pipe. We have never had off road exhaust on our car street car. ;)

the reason i ask is because when i got my off road X the car sounded weird but i wasn't sure it was because the X pipe, i just saw a lot of people complaining about the difference in sound between H and X pipes. I tough it was only HP difference.

The x does give it a different tone and will out perform an h at higher rpms. The h has a deeper tone usually.

Those numbers are incredible just in bolt-on like 50 Hp on Tune, Headers and CAI. I can't wait to start moding my car heavy. Time for the track and see what that car can run man...

Deep in the <3 of Texas!
It looks like from the base run that it really is making 412 HP and not ~435 +/- 5 like others have suggested.

Either way, 5.0 >>>>>> Camaro/Challenger. :D
