Just installed Black Matte Racing Stripes

Looks good, been seeing a lot of the matte black on black cars lately and they're really starting to grow on me. About to drop some coin on a new 5.0, might just have to get a black car and add some stripes.

For those interested, It took about 4 hours. I used a nylon line tied to the hook latch under the hood centerline and ran to the back of the car and tied to the bottom on a small hole beneath the gas tank. I kept the line centered on the rear view mirror mount and the back faux gas cap.

I used the wet method which gives you a lot of time to line them up. If you need to re-position, just add more water and they move freely.

You need a blow dryer for the corners and anywhere on the car that's curved, like around the spoiler, and base of the hood. On those parts, the heat makes the vinyl stick and super flexible so you can work it smoothly.

The only mistake I made was making some hairline scratches in my clear coat before I learned to use a cotton towel over my squeegee.

I miss mine. I put on flat black stripes back in 2008. Had them on there for about 3 years. I am seriously considering getting them done again..I miss the look...
