In 1/16:1 scale LOL.

We've had some down time here in Afghaniland and since I can't fly RC Helicopters worth a shit I decided to order a Traxxas Ford Mustang Boss 302 Model #7303 with the modified High Torque Titan 12T(turn) 550 series brushed motor.
Anyone else here into RC cars?

Fully adjustable suspension, all-time 4WD, slicks, yaddy yada ya, basically a badass motherfucking Boss 302 in midget size.

I got bit by the RC bug around 6 months ago. Im into the scale trucks / crawlers. So far i've dropped $6000 and still dont have one built yet because i've been building an incredibly detailed dual axle 1/10th trailer to pull behind my 1/10th truck. I'm a machinist with a CNC mill and I designed and made every part on this trailer except the tires. So its been a major project.

That boss up above looks pretty slick...but I'd really like to see some pictures of this trailer set up...

Nice! I love RC cars. I had a 350z a couple years ago I used to drift a lot at car shows. Definitely a lot of fun. And throw on some sticky tires and those lil bitches move out! I was hurting on cash back then though and had to sell it.

LOL got your ass!

So you are going to ride unit? Sick man! Congrats! Lol!

Si papi!

100mph or go home bro!

Only if I had a nitro rc car...

same here....lol

Got you too!

This motor doesn't have bad reviews, nor did I want to spend $100 more for a less torquey motor. I'd rather have the torque and I can swap gears for more speed.

If the OP dont mind and you want I can post some pics when I get it done. I have to do it during my lunch break at work, its been slow and stressfull. I made the fenders last week. Machined them out of solid 6061 aluminum.

Stay away from the brushed stuff. You're going to hate the heat and battery usage, and end up getting brushless to replace it anyway.

LiPo brushless all day

Here is my boat. At this time it was running a 6S 20C setup, but that was just too much voltage so I'm going to run a 4S 50C setup this summer. I need to get off my dead ass and wire it up.

Nice! Would you be willing to machine some gears, wheels and shafts if I paid you and sent you the original/replacement parts(to have something to copy)?

From what I have read this modified Traxxis Brushed 12T motor is very low maintenance and is pretty durable. Nor did I feel like spending $100 for the brushless motor that has less torque but higher speed. I can swap gears and gain speed relatively easy but you can't make more torque with the brushless. I can always buy the brushless for $80 or less and swap it myself if I ever wanted too.
