just did a big ass burnout trying to get a pic for my avatar, and the camera was being a pos, the car filled up with smoke and those tires smell like shit! wife's not gonna like it. I don't remember the grand am tires on my truck smellin like that wtf?

You sure that smell wasn't the clutch??.....they do smell pretty bad when burning...

+1 on that. Clutch's stink like hell when they go up in smoke. I burned mine up in my last 2005. It got so damn hot it actually blew up. the flywheel was ruined and TOB melted and I even screwed the synchro's in my tranny. For your sake I hope yours isnt that bad. My clutch was like a rats nest, there was actually pieces of it coming out of that little rectangle hole at the bottom of the bell housing.

edit: BTW..The only way I could get the clutch smell out of that car was to leave it parked at a friends house, whos chevy inadvertently burned my car to the ground.....long story.
