an add-on? i dont understand...if it dosnt have a usb port then how could it be a "add-on"......your saying they got some harness that has a usb in it that has to be wired to the deck....i have never heard of that before.....usually if it has usb capability then it would just have a usb port on the back of the unit somehwere.

i stand corrected, kenwood doesnt offer the usb interface only an ipod / usb interface combined.

With the plug being for an Exp what is needed to get it to work with a Mustang?

Does your car have the Shaker system and if so did it work with the Kenwood?

Does your car have Sat radio and if so did you use it with the Kenwood?

i have a kenwood double din in my car now with nav and i have/had the shaker 500 system, and it works with the factory amp(s), you need a plug harness , antenna adapter as our cars have different antenna ends, and i bought the mount kit but you could possibly use your factory brackets. all in all it cost me 40 bucks to hook my other kenwood in my mustang. heres the details : http://www.crutchfield.com/S-7UWJ3ueaw1e/p_113DDX7017/Kenwood-DDX7017.html?search=DDX7017&tp=20217
