Yep, you read it right. Strano Performance Parts *HAS KONI SPORTS* in stock, ready to ship, both 2005-2010 AND the 2011+ struts... and I have plenty of rear shocks to go with them. www.stranoparts.com

Also, I just got a shipment of Steeda springs in as well, so we can put together nice kits depending on your needs.

these are great shocks that work really well when paired with the HR race springs i'm using.

one thing to note - if you buy the 2011+ struts, the older GT500 top hats will not work.

Well, that's because you don't need to use the older strut mount design on the 2011 struts because said struts are called 2011+ as they directly fit the OEM mounts for those model cars.

i had planned to use the GT500 since they are a lot more beefy than the stock ones.

that plan was scrapped and i had to return them =\

They aren't a lot more beefy, in fact they have the same failure mode the stock ones do. Honestly this is the kind of stuff that I like to inform customer of. There is so much bad information out there.

Is there a huge difference between these and th3 srt koni?

Warranty side? No, both have Koni's lifetime warranty. STR.T's of course are not adjustable, the damping is what it is. Sports have a big range of options for rebound damping (what makes the car take a set, feel locked down, and slows pitch and roll). STR.T's are made in South America for Koni. Koni does the valving, the warranty. Sports are made by Koni Holland.

For those just looking to cruise around and have upgraded shocks, the STR.T's are likely the ticket. For those with more mods, heavier springs, like to really corner carve, or have options... then you might consider Sports instead.

I know exactly what you are getting at. What I'm trying to tell you, and frankly you'd know this is we had talked because I've have told you if you asked, is that the GT500 mounts are not stronger in any way than what you have. They look more "beefy" because the older struts use a differ hat, period. But what fails is the press fit, and that's the same on ALL the OEM mounts.

For those reading this, bear in mind that not everyone on the 'net, vendor or otherwise knows these little details. These can be important, and it's something, having owned both generation of S197 that I'm quite familiar with.
