Whether or not KW makes Roush stuff, that's not how KW's kits are setup. They are not coil-over rear... And fwiw, nobody seems to know the rates on those as they aren't exactly telling anyone. :)

Roush coilovers aren't true rear coilovers either. I have seen them in person

The pictures they, Roush, show on their site and other places have the rear springs over the shocks because, as I was told, "that is how they were packed in the box." So, as others have pointed out, they are not true coilovers in the back.

Correct, I have the Roush coilovers. Not true in the rear and they are made by KW as I had them repair my front strut. If you ask KW they will tell you that the made them. They are a "special edition" from KW so KW themselves cannot warranty them nor do they carry any of the parts. However, they will repair fully and for a good price.

I had KW Clubsports on my 2008 BMW M3. Once the damping was set, it was firm but it rode well considering the front springs were 514 pounds/inch and the rears were 800, which translated to 270 pounds per inch at the wheel. Handling was divine.

KW makes four different KW-branded products for the S197 Mustang. The Variant 1 has height adjustment only, the V3 has height and double-adjustable damping, the Clubsport has camber plates and 500# front/300# rear linear race springs, and the KW Racing 2-way kit has whatever spring rates you want and their full-race double-adjustable dampers and struts. Each one comes with a different price point, but for what you're getting they're all good value.

Last year at PRI, the KW guy told me they make Eibach's coilovers as well.

I can't say if that's true or not. But even if it is, they are hugely different in a number of ways. Spring rates alone as a lot different. KW doesn't make any other damper that links compression and rebound, Eibach R1's do, for instance.

Having spent some time looking at both, driving on both, etc. I don't see it. Normally it's pretty easy to tell when companies are hooked up. H&R dampers are made by Bilstein, and there obvious signs of it, as an example. I'm not saying that it couldn't happen, but if it is, it's a design built to Eibach's wants, not KW's simply relabeled. They are, look, and drive very differently.

When I was researching suspension choices late last year, I called Eibach in California and spoke to the product manager responsible for the dampers and coilover product lines. They're made by Eibach in an Eibach factory in the USA.

While I admit I don't know everything there is to know about suspension, I do know a bit about the industry itself. There is no way KW makes Eibach coilovers. Eibach has a huge facility in California to make and store their stuff.

KW's facility is in Northern California and is also home to ST coilovers. They're stuff is all made in Germany and shipped to CA for North American distribution. This is also where they warranty their stuff.

I went over my PRI docs after Sam commented on what I said. It was bothering me because I know the Eibach R2s have remote reservoirs, but the KWs don't. It was in fact KW that I talked to at PRI. I forget the guy's name, but he was a tall asian guy, and he works for KW.

I remember we were talking about the double adjustable stuff, but I think he actually said that the KW V3s were the same dampers as the H&R RSS coilovers, not the Eibachs.

Sam, can you confirm this?
