Had the same problem when I installed mine. To compensate for the lack of resistance in the LED get yourself a load resistor. Usually can pick them up in any automotive shop or online. One side connects to the positive, the other negative. You can use butt connectors or solder them in. Your choice. That should do it.

Ah Ha - Man I checked and cleaned every connection, bought a new trunk ajar switch, reworked my grounds, checked the C2280e connections in the SJB, the C422 connector - you name it. Finally gave up and checked online and found your information. I will get the load resistor in the mail (it's Saturday :( ) and report back. But I think your onto something here. Thanks. :)

Before I installed the load resistor I tried this light and have had no problems - CANBUS Error free function
