Every review by a track person says wish it had 100 more HP. Well there is 3 X that. Power delivery would be better I think with turbo but those are some insane numbers from the 5.2

That is because everyone wants more HP. The HUGE issue with this is that on track you are going to generate insane amounts of heat with the blower which is going to cause you to lose all the extra power you gained. Extra heat on an engine is not a good thing especially if you don't have the ability to deal with and remove the heat.

Power delivery is now worse because instead of being able to come out of a turn and lay into the throttle to get the car to stick and pull through the corner you have to try and feather the throttle in order to get the tires to stick and not blow off and send your ass end sliding.

Not to mention you now put probably 100+lbs. where you least want it on a track car and made an already heavy car even heavier. No one understands wanting a balanced car, all they want is a car with 1000+ HP because it is cool. Well fuck that, I will take a car with a good amount of power that is well balanced among the other components of a car rather than some HP monster.

90% of GT350 owners will prefer being able to roll around on korean tires that they can blow off at will with this blower vs. corner carving at the track.

Design intent vs. results. I do expect ford to unveil a king kong car shortly here, possibly with the first refresh of the S550. 800+ hp.

Can't disagree with that. Very few will ever see any type of high performance driving at all.

Yeah, which is heartbreaking. The GT350 was purpose-built for the road course.

+1 Well said. The sad thing is... someone with a GT350 will see this and will be running towards Lethal to get this done.

The gt350 and 350R are great track cars. Unfortunately people will speculate on them and probably less that 10% will ever see a track. Those who buy to drive them on the street and have the money will do power adders thus why wouldn't lethal and others attempt to market to that rich client and make money? I guess I don't understand why people care what others do with their cars and money?? I'd personally like to see one turbocharged just to see the power delivery might make an even more fun track car with 100 more HP (which might be obtainable with bolt on mods) who knows haven't researched them because quite frankly I wouldn't pay the markup.

I've only seen Randy Pobst say that for the GT350, but he says every car could use 100 more HP. I don't think it is much of a fact as it is a "driver's joke."

You can put an exhaust on it, and a GMPP camshaft, and get 500+ at the wheels, though.

Not sure if this is a sarcastic post...or you really think the ability to add a handling package to the same old camaro with v6 or 6.2L v8 is really something worth comparing to the gt350.

I'd be willing to bet a mildly modified 1LE on the same rubber would whip the 350 around a given course. Should be a lot less money, more reliable, etc..
