Hey guys, been a while since I have posted here, but thats because I ended up getting rid of my 06.

So long story short, my car (Fusion) got totalled and I am looking for a replacement. Just wondering if this was anyones vehicle, and if this is a good asking price for mileage.

I see the intake and I think it also has an aftermarket pulley. That being said, I dont know if it comes with the handheld tuner and know nothing about the car.

Is a 49k mile GT500 with pulley and intake (and who knows what else) a good buy?

Id like to keep the discussion focused away from Texas Direct and more on the topic of the car. I have bought a car from them before, and came away pretty happy. Please keep opinions of the dealer aside.

I can't speak in behalf of the miles on the vehicle since I don't own one, but I personally would not hesitate to own a GT500 with 48k on it (my 3v has 94k). I think the price is fair, but I'm sure you can get it cheaper.

I would also ask if the vehicle comes with a hand held tuner (tell them to check the glove, truck, etc). That car def has at least a few bolt ons

+1 get the tuner w tunes and stock tune

Have a buddy at work with 90k on his 07 GT500. And if he'd stop messing with it, it'd be perfect still :)

I know Abdulla (AbdullaGT500) owned a higher mileage 2008 GT500, and he had a VMP 750HP kit and didn't seem to have any problems.

For 29k, no thanks. Around here you can find GT500s with 5K miles for only a few grand more.

Yeah, I think its a no go. There is no tuner in the vehicle, they refuse to budge on the price, and also refuse to give me any kind of coverage (as expected) if something bad happens within the next couple weeks. I'd rather spend a couple extra grand and be comfortable over finding out on my dime. Especially when I can literally get one with less than 10k miles for a couple grand more.

Thanks everyone for the help!

I don't even think you need to "spend couple more grand". I can't see why you can't get a nice gt500 for that price range. Just take your time & shop around.

$29000 is high for that mileage..You should be able to pick up a 10-15k mile 08 or 09 for about $30,000..The prices have dropped since the 2010 new body style is here and the 2013/14 have a different motor..

I wouldnt pay a dime over $27,000 for it..

I sold my 08 GT500 with 79k miles, VMP 750 HP blower kit, full suspension, vossen wheels. Rear bumper got scuffed just before the sale which knocked the price down to $29,000. Check engine light was also on for a bad egr valve.

Texas direct doesnt budge on their prices and for 29k, you can get a much lower mile gt500. Just keep looking and you will find it. At that price, why not just get a used 5.0 and add on a pro charger?

I switched from an '08 GT to a '07 GT500 about 18 months ago. Love the car, love the massive upgrade potential. You should be able to find an '07-'09 GT500 with less than 10k miles on it for around 30k, plus or minus. Definitely worth every penny.
