Loud popping noise when turning the wheel

Even at a dead stop, I turn my wheels I hear a loud popping noise.

Pretty sure it is the strut bearings, about 99.9999999% sure of that.

I popped the hood and with the front tires in the air on jack stands I see the top of the strut turn with the wheel, is this normal? Should it turn? I realize the strut turns but I did not think the top assembly would actually rotate with the strut?

I havnt tried it with the wheels on the ground yet, will do that in a few minutes.m

im not too familiar with the system, but what are you using for upper strut mounts?

They come with the kit, pretty much they are BC/Megan coilovers.

I removed the mounts today and greased the shit out of them...still popping...

Ill have to get my wife to help me tomorrow so I can listen while she turns the wheels back and forth, I really don't see why they would pop or why the grease didn't help. I'll probably make a video of it.

It's gone!

Greased the top strut mounts didn't do much so probably had nothing to do with the airlift, I greased my BMR a-arms and it was still there....got my wife in the car while I was under it and it was the steering rack,lol,tightened the bolts that hold it to the BMR k-member and boom,gone!

Car feels great all greased up so glad I did that anyway!
