Lowering rear only?

Hey guys, wasn't sure exactly where to put this because we don't have a suspension forum. So overall the front of my 10 is about the right height. I could do maybe a half inch lower but don't really want anymore than that, I'm actually quite happy with where it is, it is a driver after all. However, I hate the 70's rake the car has. Looks like something from the 70's with air shocks. Has anyone just lowered the tail a little to level the car out some? I'm thinking 3/4" to an inch would satisfy me.
I've thought of an oldschool trick of just clipping the springs in the rear a little bit but I'm not 100% certain if the spring pockets will allow me to? Anyone else tried this? Thanks in advance.

Just the rears? After a little searching I found that Roush has rears to drop the tail. Anyone use those?

You may look into the Boss factory springs as well. They are a lower spring.

I have a friend who trimmed his springs front and rear and likes the ride and stance. And for that matter, if you do trim yours and botch them I have a spare factory pair in the garage you could have for the shipping fee if that gives you any peace of mind to try it.

a) cut and re use -the rear springs this will work but some don't recommend because of ride harshness. b) how many miles on current springs and struts and shocks- your car could be 7 years old and has settled over time- meaning front ride height is lower than it was 7 years ago- So a spring set for 1.25" drop from the factory may only drop your current set up .75 inches-1.0 because your rears have compressed with age- something to think about. I like the bmr#12's rear only from summit set my rear and front level with just a rear spring change- I run 28" tall tires front a rear and don't have much room for a front drop-

I used a set of Roush on the rear of my 2006 and then later swapped to a set of Ford Racing springs back there. I liked the Ford better, not quite as low as the Roush went but leveled the stance some.

We did Ford Racing "L" springs on the back of the Shelby and it's sitting much nicer than the ass-up factory stance

The car only has 12,800mi on it. The front is definitely much lower. I'd like to see some spring comparisons. JimC, do you have any pics of the car with Roush springs?

Gabe, your sig pic of the GT500 looks great. Were you able to just get the rear L springs?

No, we bought the full "L" spring set and installed the rears only.

The GT500 sits stupid high in the rear from the factory.
This is a before-and-after of the car:

And a recent pic with the 20's on it, rear tires being 305/35/20 555R's:

I bought the Roush rear springs, then decided to install the full set. It's a great looking and handling setup. :). My car is a bullitt and is still a mile high in the rear. Was 2 miles high with the stock springs.
