A friend of mine has recently purchased a 2012 Mustang 5.0 which is imported from the US and the care came with LT headers. The problem is that the right hand headers are touching the frame on hard acceleration or while turning left.

Any help on this issue?

I've found an old thread that describes a similar problem but I couldn't get a definite clue that uprated motor mounts will resolve this issue: http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=58700&highlight=headers+frame

Also, I can't tell which brand are the headers. I've compared them with almost all the known headers brands and they look different.

Also, do adjustable motor mounts allow raising the engine? or are they only good for lowering the engine?

Get a breaker bar and move the engine over a hair to clear it. Had to do that with mine and no issues since.

Look like Stainlessworks which are notorious for this. My Dynatechs don't fit good either, hang too low. Believe it or not the cheap Pypes headers fit great.

I thought that adj mm are only good for lowering the engine but I'm not certain. I have Kooks which are very close to both frame rails esp the right side. The poly urethane bushings on my Prothane motor mounts prevent contact on hard acceleration.

Mine were the same on initial install, loosen all bolts and pry engine towards drivers side and retighten bolts. Have not had any issues for two years now.:2cents:

Just to give a feedback here. Engine mounts (OEM ones) were found to be squashed and my friend has replaced them with new OEM ones. Car runs fine now!
