Just wanted to pass along some information on the upcoming release of the METCO UCA for the 2011 Mustang GT.

We recieved a prototype unit for fitment and testing yesterday and it is a quality unit for sure. The pictures below do not show the final powdercoated unit that you would get from METCO because we were issued one for testing for an upcoming magazine shootout on Monday.

The only thing different between the earlier model years and this unit is the size of the bolt that is used on the unit from the inside of the vehicle. It is not wider nor does it have a different bolt pattern from the stock unit.

I just wanted to pass along correct factual information to you the member so you are better educated as to what you are purchasing for your vehicle. Thanks to everyone for their PM's regarding this issue and I am glad to provide you with the correct information. I would suggest that anyone interested in any performance part for their vehicle deal with a company that not only installs the parts they sell but has earned the trust of the companies that produce the parts to deliver factual information about said part. :thumb2:

Enjoy the pictures, they speak for themselves. Uploading pictures of how well the stock arm fits into the METCO bracket also. I will update thread soon with factual information.

Pictures attached of how a stock arm fits into the PRODUCTION METCO UCA.

You will see a picture of the METCO bracket with the stock arm and then a picture of the stock bracket with the METCO arm. Both fit eachother quite well.

Trust those that actually install and test the products that your interested in to bring you the real tech and factual information that you, the member, deserve. :thumb2:

Thanks,

JJ

You mean the UCA "bracket" right?
The UCA is unchanged.

Just installed the new Metco UCA Bracket and UCA yesterday on our car. Perfect fit.

The stock UCA is longer from what I understand, so the only difference in the bracket is the hole location for the UCA. If this was the same the UCA would fit without the bracket, but it doesn't due to the arm length difference. Metco changed the bracket to make up the length difference and still be able to use the earlier UCA and not retool for the 2011.

Isn't the arm adjustable anyways? A metco arm or any other adjustable upper should wk with the stock bracket right?

No, the stock arm is longer and the Metco will not reach. Adjustability is for slight pinion angle adjustment and not inches of extension.

The Metco Arm will not work with a stock Upper control arm mount.

The Stock upper has a .750 inch bolt. the metco arm uses a .500 inch bolt.

There for if you were to put a metco arm in a stock upper mount, you the bolt would have serious amout of play and clunk like no other.
