A little while ago I had an MGW put in the car. Everything was done correctly but now I am getting a pretty good vibration in shifter in 3rd gear and a tiny bit in 4th. No other gear. Also when u accelerate and decelerate the shifter itself will very very slightly move back and forth not side to side. The shifter was put in by addiction motorsports a reputable shop and I even took it back to them to verify everything. They said everything is fine and that with this shifter you will feel more through the shifter because of the poly bushings. Which i could understand versus the stock rubber bushings but still don't exactly belive it because all I've heard is good about this shifter. Even my Hurst that I had in the car before didnt do any of this. I just thought the MGW should feel more solid. What do u guys think?

You need to discern between the cause of the vibration and the symptoms of the vibration. The shifter itself is a very well made and designed item. It is not causing the vibration, merely giving you a more direct connection with the vibrating parts. You may have other issues somewhere, or you may just be feeling the normal, crappy 3650 for the first time.

And the shifter moving side to side is due to the transmission moving side to side. This is by design. The engine and transmission mounts have some flex in them to help strike a balance between performance and comfort. You can use stiffer mounts and have less flexing but more vibrations. A common term is 'NVH' which stands for noise, vibration, harshness.

I have a 1st Gen. MGW shifter that rattles in second and third gear. I've had it all apart twice and can't find the source.
