There's a very reputable shop about 10 miles from my house that is known to put out some serious HP Corvettes and Camaros. Since a dyno is a dyno for the most part, I opted to take it to these guys to see what kind of numbers my car is putting up. They get it onto the rollers, get everything hooked up, and start the run. Everything was running properly until they hit 5th gear and hammered the throttle. All of the sudden, the numbers cleared on the computer and the receiving module starting blinking like crazy. Apparently something fried inside of the unit that sends the signals to the computer.
I talked so much trash to those guys. They were so embarrassed. I told them how their dyno was only accustomed to that sissy Chevy HP and finally when a real car gets on the rollers it blows up. They took it in stride, didn't charge me anything, and told me to come back on Thursday or Friday when they've got the new parts in and get my dyno pulls for free since I waited around about an hour for them to cry uncle.
