Sold my chebby in November of 2007 and got into my Mustang a few months later.
1969 Chevelle, 400 small block , bored 30 over, cammed, Holly 650 double pumper, and a 350 turboautomatic.
I miss her every now and then but I can always visit because I sold her to my mechanic a few blocks away. :)

Wow nice ass car bro, why did you sell it? That's a classic, especially being an SS...

Sweet velle!

I had a 66 Malibu before my mustang and I admit that I do miss that car! I sold it to my brother who's supposedly restoring it...but we'll see.

Man, I really like those old Bowtie muscle cars! It makes me miss my '68 Nova SS... but I don't miss the constant tinkering to keep it running.

I've been contemplating selling my S197 to buy a '69 Chevelle. That is my #1 favorite muscle car.

My Dad had a '69 4 spd Chevelle with a very built small block when he was young...his friends all tell me what a sweet/fast car it was. It was fathom green with white interior, cragar s/s wheels, etc. I would love to have one!

Here is an old picture of my Dad's car...wish I could find it:

Great cars. I have pondered the idea of owning one of those types of cars for year and years and years. I finally did some soul searching and realized I am just not the kind of guy who buys things and pampers or tinkers with them. As much as I love the old cars, for the price of a clean one I picked up my Mustang and have a lot more fun/ less stress driving the ass out of it. If I owned that car I would be nuts about driving it anywhere. It's bad enough with my car now! :)

Yo Ford20!! wasabi???...lol

That chevelle was a cloned ss 396. It started life as a Malibu 350.
It was fully restored with all GM metal from front to back and every piece of chrome was either new OEM or rechromed.
It was my daily driver for 3 years and went on the road from the beginning of April thru the end of October. Drove it back and forth to work 72 miles a day and drove it like I owned it. Without fear.....and enjoyed every second of that car.

I feel for the guys that show there cars all the time and are afraid to drive them.....you don't know what you're missing. You only live once!

I highly suggest picking one up already restored like I did. Costs less and you can have the instant gratification of driving it. Because to me....that's what it's all about.
