Yes. His first pass yesterday he had to pull off the track after the burnout because the cap to the rearend came off which spilled gear oil on the start line.

Second pass he spun and got out of it.

I got my reaction time to .021 but i hurt the motor. I am finished racing for the weekend. Still will spectate Sat/Sun

It was a good run - motor held together for 2 1/2 years.

I got a go pro video of the interior and all of the smoke. I got to say at least i stopped and moved over to the wall. The belly pan did its job, kept oil off of the tires, keeping me off the wall.

Lets just say there is a hole in the oil pan.

Block looks ok but obviously wont know until the teardown.

Props to you for taking motor problems so easily. I know the "you gotta pay if you want to play" saying but I gave up playing after 2 motors. Enjoy the rest of the weekend & now you can let loose since you won't be racing.

Yeah i was going to freshen the motor soon, but this will definitely cost some $$$. Its been 2.5 years on this motor and about 120-130 passes. Not sure of exact number until i look at my spreadsheet.

I am not too upset as it could have been way worse, could have got oil on the tires and crashed the car to.

Sorry to see it man, but like you said, the car stayed straight and you got it shut down. Good you got an 8.5x out of it before this happened as well. Some good incentive to keep at it.

Damn, sorry to hear about the motor. I was looking forward to see what you were going to run but at least you found the positive in it.
