Hey guy's, I'm looking for a good starter kit with DA, pads and compound/polishes. The only thing I have right now is Meguiar's clay bar kit and a bunch of random waxes from Walmart and other places that I am ready to toss. Now that my car isn't a daily driver or beating it on the track, I really want to work on getting the finish back up to snuff.

I know that silver is a double edged sword since it is great at hiding imperfections (and dirt for that matter), but it never seems to appear as deep as other colors. Since I do have a silver car, I was going to use Dodo Juice Light Fantastic but have been reading in several detail forums that Pinnacle Souveran, P21S Concours and NXT Tech Wax (Which I currently have) give impressive results as well. One person even suggested using Optimum Spray wax, which I know nothing about. If there is a product that is good to use for my wife's metallic red minivan, my metallic blue Mazda3 commuter and silver Mustang then I would like to go with that to save on buying different products for all the cars.

So if anyone can link to a good starter kit, recommend extras I need and give me a basic order of operations I'd appreciate it (even though I know it's been beaten to death in different threads here, lol!)

Get a good detergent, microfiber wash mitt, and microfiber towels. For chemicals, I like to keep it as nonabrasive as possible. Start out with Swirl-X or Scratch-X, then a cleaner wax, then a sealant of some kind. If you have deep scratches or really bad paint, you'll have to get more serious. I like Meguiar's products, but I'm sure anything you find on www.autogeek.net is a product that works well.

Do you have a DA? If not: http://www.autogeek.net/po.html They have package deals, but definitely make sure to get the velcro backer and some pads.
