Ordered some new wheels, got the tires mounted, when to go test fit on the car...anddddd my oem lugs are to big in diameter and i am suspecting not long enough? i like the look of open ended lug nuts. Any recommendations?

Also what is that bump thing? its not allowing me to put my center cap on in the front, can i take it off?

teaser photos for you guys

Wheel setup are varrstoen es2, 19" 9.5 +30 all the way around, going to check out a machine shop tomorrow to see if they will shave off about 4 mm off all the wheels so i can tuck a little more in the back. 255/35 invos

Im broken on what to do as far as decals...i love the volk te37 look

U need spline lugs I believe

That's the dust cover for the hub. I wouldn't remove it, but u can flatten them some with a hammer mod.

McLeod lugs will be a smaller outside diameter (3/4" socket instead of 13/16") if you prefer staying with a hex head lug. I wouldn't have spline lugs on my car because if you lose track or break your spline socket then you're fucked. If you have standard hex head lugs then you can grab a 3/4" socket anywhere.

Go to auto zone with one of your lug nuts. There will be a stand on the ricer isle, match the thread to their stud and pick the spline tuner lugs accordingly. Should be about $35.

The tools a $5 from discount tire. I have 3. If I misplace or break all three, then fuck me. You can still take them off with a 21mm socket, just tap it on and remove the nuts.

im not to worried about someone stealing my wheels with my car able to drop with air. Ill check out autozone too. i was hoping someone would have a link to a good looking set of red powder coated lugs. Anyone have any links to 1/2"-20 ricer lugs?

Get the Spline lug nuts in black. I have black rims on my black 2011 GT and they look great. Set with the lock was $36 bucks.

I like my VMS Racing PRO Series Stainless Steel T304 Lug Nuts. I think they come in a variety of colors. Got mine on ebay.

Thanks for all the advice guys, I found a ton of different lugs that I like, however the oem studs are too long for alot of them with these wheels. Is there any harm shaving a few mm off the ends of the studs?

as said, either splined tuner lugs or a smaller hex tuner style lug nut, just google 1/2 20 tuner lug nuts, when I bought Forgestars recently, I ordered Gorilla chrome splined lug nuts, if you get quality splined lugs, breakage wont be a worry

Looks like it but that kit has the stupid locks. I'd rather get 20 regular lugs if it were mine.
