Dont worry Op.. your not the only one..

I think the best 60 I did in my DRs was 2.0-2.2.. I tried what the others stated but fuck it.. I just added more power... one day Ill get into the 11's... even if I have to do it with 700hp!

Yes, I was nailing 1.81X on street tires, added DRs and now I am bogging to death to the tune of 1.98X. Got a 1.88 once. grrrr lol

Just put the rear sway bar back in. Gonna try and slip the clutch instead of just dropping the hammer. Seems like I might be bogging down, I know the tires were hooking pretty well. Thanks for all the help ill keep ya posted. My next race is on Friday so we shall see.

Just ordered a-arms, k member and radiator support!! Drop 40 off the front so that should help a little!! Man I hate having to wait for parts to get here lol.

Well went to the track today. Best time was a 13.49. I didn't try anything different other than putting the sway bar back in. The car felt a lot Better going down the track with the sway bar in. I got put out in the first round. My car rolled off the line, I've never had it do that before. All I had to do was make a run and I would have won because the other guy broke out. Oh well going again next Friday. I should have the kmember, Aarms and radiator support in by then.

i'll suggest ditching the drag radials and going to a bias ply tire. i launch my mt et streets at 5k and get pretty consistent 1.64 short times. i run them at about 12psi. it does tend to move around a little on the top end.

Got the kmember Aarms and radiator support in. I'm glad I spent the money on this stuff. Last time at the track I weighed in at 3510 with half a tank. Tonight I weighed in at 3465 with half a tank. Dropped almost 45 pounds. Now for times I got my best run tonigh of a 13.19@104mph. My best 60' was 1.7 so getting better. I'm not sure how much the weight loss helped with times though, it was a fairly chilly night which really helps at my altitude. I go back next Friday so I will try and report back then.

I think you said in the op that you were dead hooking. As in you were not spinning the tires out of the hole. If you are still dead hooking even when you are dropping the clutch hard that means you have an over abundance of traction. Lowering the tir pressure will grant you more traction at the cost of friction on the top end.

Just some food for thought.

Also practice dropping the clutch harder. I was getting 1.7 with basically the same setup less cams and 3.73 as opposed to 4.10s. I actually had to up my pressure to go faster. Last time I was out I had them all the way up to 28psi and I was still dead hooking.

Key is to keep rpm up. Na 4.6s HATE climbing out of the basement

P.s. I did not say slip the clutch because even though it is a good way to keep rpm up, it will burn out you clutch faster.

Also when I was at 28 psi I did a bunch of runs and measured the wear pattern out of curiosity, it was about 240mm. And I was still dead hooking. more food for thought.

^I was kinda wondering the same thing. I know when I first got them I took them out on the street and @32 psi I dropped the clutch and it hooked pretty good. I might try and start at 25 next time and go from there. I couldn't play with the setup to much last night because the temps were changing fast.
