So I have decided to ditch the 4.30 gears.. slap in some 4.56's and put a 28" tire out back.

I will be buying another set of race rims so here is my plan.

On one set I will have my usual 26x4.5x15 et skinnys up front with a 28x10.5x15 slick out back

on the other set (street set) I will have a 26x6x15 SR radial in the front and I want to run a 325/50/15 Et street radial out back (I run these on my race car :p) I know they are 28" tall and the actually width of the tire is 12" at 13 psi (race psi) my current 26x11.5x15 et streets at 10 psi are 11" wide. Should I have any clearance problems with the 325/50/15's?

I remember seeing some pics somewhere of people having this tire.

I don't think the extra 1" in width is going to have clearance issues.... I dont think lol

any help would be apreciated :thumb2:

If you have stock or CJ springs you'll have even more clearance. Pro Kit isnt the best for drag racing. haha

wow they stick out far from the lip of the fender... I guess the 325 radials out be the same way sticking that far out... I guess im going to stick with the 275/60/15 et street radials.. keep it flush

Im running 28x10.50 x15 stiff side wall ET drags and 15x10 7.5 backspace Weld R/T's and they fit perfect. I did have to install the Steeda swaybar relocation kit

I cut my sway bar tabs along time ago lol when I put my bogarts on :p

Im really doing this because i hate the gap I have with the 26" tire and my ford racing springs... When I put my sportlines it looks good but bounces everywhere lol. 28's will give me some more bit and will fill in the gap at the same time.

True that!

The pictures dont do it justice. The tread of the tire is fully in the wheel well. Ill take some better ones when I ga racing on Friday.

Matt, I am pretty sure the 325/50's want stick out that far on a 7.5" backspace wheel....or a wheel with the correct backspacing...There are a couple of cars running around here with 325/50's on them and they are both on the Weld RT's and I do believe another with Holeshot's....don't stick out at all....
