need suggestions on resonators

I ordered a set of dynomax resonators for my car without looking at the clearence first on the driveshaft. when I went to get them installed they will not fit where I wanted them.
Beside the overaxle pipe where would be a good place to install them?

no real place to put them other than the over axle pipes as far as I could tell

I had them installed today.The thing was at Midas they had the car on a lift where they picked it up from the frame (wheels hanging) . Today I went to Meineke and they have a lift that you drive on, so they had plenty room for the install.
Put them just before the bend in the overaxle pipes.
Sounds pretty good (a little quieter but no resonance)

Mine are directly after the h-pipe... the h pipe clamps to the resonators which are welded to the axle pipes

I'll get some pics in a couple days, I'm back at work now (tugboat) but I had them installed just forward of where the overaxle pipe starts their bend.
I'm using the dynomax resonators they have a couple inches between them.

Nah, my plan is to make a custom midmuffler setup with magnapacks and eliminate axleback mufflers all together. It'd be setup just like the <04 cars

I have FRPP ceramic shorties, Pypes offroad H, and 18" Dynamax resonators. For about 6 months, I've been running Borla stingers. The resonators eliminated the trumpeting and got rid of most of the drone. Clip:



Last weekend I bought some SLP loudmouths for shits and giggles. Here is a clip of them instead of the Borlas (basically pure offroad, no cats/no muffs just shorties, h pipe, and resonators)

Yeah the resonators help out ALOT with the trumpeting. Everyone knows flows with an o/r X sound horrible, but with resonators they sound great, eliminates the trumpeting. I switched out the super 40 flows to SLP LM's. They sound good too. I just ordered some bassani SS axle backs the other day, hopefully they'll come in tomorrow. I've been satisfied with all exhaust set ups, I just like trying different ones. I'll take a pic of the resonators while I'm under the car putting the bassani's on if they come in tomorrow.

I have had 2 types of small 4" round mufflers mounted on my car, they sort of fit nicely at a slight angle just under the gas tank area, and I checked to see if there may be a heat issue and found none, I am currently running 2 summitt 12" long glass packes with pipes pointed to the ground just on the backside of the axel, filling in the bumper cutouts to get sort of a roll pan effect, it looks good (this is on my V6)

those are the magnaflows I had on m6y car, I have heard them on a GT by themselves and they sound great IMO, they arent lond but very smooth and low sounding
